After undergoing a billion-rand renovation, the iconic Waterfront grande dame, now named the InterContinental Table Bay, has reopened its doors.

Located at the V&A Waterfront, the hotel now features a fresh sense of luxury, with the interiors redesigned to reflect an elevated yet muted contemporary look and feel.

The R1-billion refurbishment includes 45 additional rooms and suites, plus a brand-new food and beverage offering, a destination space, and more.

STACEY HOPKINS SHARES HER FAVOURITE SPOTS IN CAPE TOWN⁠

As the first woman to serve as Hotel Manager of the iconic Mount Nelson Hotel, affectionately known as the Nellie, Stacey Hopkins has come full circle.

Stacey began her hospitality career decades ago at the very hotel she now heads up.

“When I saw this role, I thought: this is where I want to be. I want to go back. That’s where my real grounding started," says Hopkins.

FILM FUND OPPORTUNITY: Attention filmmakers in Cape Town! 🎬️

Productions in the final stages of completion can now apply for funding through the City of Cape Town’s latest Film Fund call.

The fund aims to boost the local economy, facilitate job creation across Cape Town's film and media industries and provide an opportunity for emerging talent to access training and skills development. A key requirement is that submitted projects must be completed between 1 July 2026 and 30 June 2027.
