I was so surprised at first but then ended up picking up a few cups throughout the rest of the race! It’s just caffeine and sugar, right?😅

About 18 miles in the race after our goal time started slipping away, we talked and decided that we were going to take the pressure off, run because we love it and because we’re so happy to be here in South Africa!! Those last miles were still tough but we just laughed and made it fun! You can set out for a goal but it really comes down to how you feel and show up on race day. Goals can change mid race and that’s okay! One tough day doesn’t reflect your fitness. Perspective is a gift! I loved this race and I love running! This race taught me so much and it was one of my favorites yet! 🥰 hybrid
