Sales of hybrid and electric vehicles are steadily rising in South Africa, despite initial challenges from limited infrastructure and unreliable energy supply. While fully electric cars currently account for a small portion of the market, their popularity is on the rise. Experts predict continued growth in demand. Electric vehicles use only electricity, while hybrids combine fuel and electricity, both offering more environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional petrol and diesel cars.

NotInMyName International has expressed support for KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi following his testimony at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry. Spokesperson Themba Masango says Mkhwanazi’s revelations highlight deep corruption and ethical decay within politics and the criminal justice system.

Masango praised the commissioner’s integrity and courageous stance, calling on the government and the Commission to use this moment to drive meaningful reform, restore accountability, and strengthen public trust in South Africa’s justice system.
