Now introducing the 3rd act of our heavy hitters for the special show happening at .ct on Saturday 9 May, and they are none other than

This motley crew of music nerds, fondly referred to as “The Nomads,” hail from the South African College of Music (UCT) in Cape Town and all have a deep passion for music performance and composition. The music keeps dance and groove at the centre of its inspiration and borrows from many different styles. Hip hop, afrobeat, ghoema, samba, ska, klezmer and various other sounds are blended into one cohesive, high-energy performance.

The primary goal of The Nomads is to get people moving. The band plays an infectious kind of high-energy dance music guaranteed to get feet tapping and limbs swaying. With three full-length studio albums, many successful tours, festivals and events on their resume, the band strives to create top-quality original music for all.

The band has been fortunate enough to play on some of the biggest stages in South Africa but have also done some touring in Europe and other African countries. They've shared stages with many local and international acts including, but not limited to, Gogol Bo****lo, Balkan Beat Box, Boom Pam, Freshly Ground, Majozi, Matthew Mole, Beatenberg and Jeremy Loops!

The Dirty Skirts have spent their career redefining the South African sound. With a SAMA win for Best Alternative Album and a history of sharing stages with international heavyweights like Oasis, Snow Patrol, and Evanescence, to name a few, they bring a world-class pedigree to every stage they step onto.

The Lumineers hit Cape Town next week, but we’ve managed to snag our good friend Stelth Ulvang for a rare, one-night solo performance away from the main stage and something a little more intimate.

In case you didn't know...The Lumineers currently drag multi-instrumentalist, Stelth Ulvang, from town to town; primarily as their piano player, but his talents as a songwriter and performer extend to his solo work as well.
Live, Stelth provides an unpredictable juggling act of instruments, styles, performers, and stories, with the same brush of bluish grey of a late Colorado March.

Supporting Stelth on bass guitar for this one is Ry McArthur (The Shabs, Human Bean Juice, Captain Stu and many more!)

Folk Café, St James – Tuesday 3 February 2026
Doors - 6pm
Show starts - 7:30pm
Tickets - R250pp
