PUTTING YOURSELF FIRST ISN’T SELFISH. 🧡

You spent so long taking care of everyone else.

Now you’re learning to care for yourself too.

That matters. 🌱

You deserve a life that includes you.

📌 Choosing yourself doesn't mean you don't care about others. It means you're finally recognising that your needs matter too.

STOP COMPARING YOUR HEALING. 🌱

Someone else may look further ahead.

That doesn't mean you're behind.
Your healing has its own pace. 💚

Focus on where you are, not where someone else appears to be.

📌 Healing isn't a race. What takes someone else months may take you longer, and that's okay. Give yourself the same patience you'd give someone you love.

YOU DON'T OWE EVERYONE AN EXPLANATION. 🌱

Some people will question your choices.

Let them.

You don't have to defend every boundary, decision or step you take while rebuilding.

Protecting your peace is enough. 💚

📌 Healing becomes lighter when you stop feeling responsible for making everyone understand your choices.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE STRONG EVERY DAY. 🧡

Some days you may feel tired. Some days you may need to pause.
That doesn't mean you're going backwards.
Rest is part of rebuilding too. 🌱

📌 Give yourself permission to have difficult days. You don't have to prove your strength by pretending everything is okay.

YOU ARE ALLOWED TO START AGAIN. 🌱

A new beginning doesn't erase your past.

It means you chose not to let it define your future.

Your next chapter can look different. 🧡

📌 Starting again isn't failure. Sometimes it's the bravest decision you can make for yourself.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO HAVE IT ALL FIGURED OUT. 🌱

Sometimes rebuilding means simply getting through today.

Take the next step.

Then another.

You are still moving forward, even when it feels slow. 🧡

📌 You don't need to know exactly where you're going to begin again. Give yourself permission to take life one step at a time.

Part #22

Who else has walked into the grocery store with a strict, color-coded shopping list, determined to buy only healthy essentials, and walked out two hours later with four types of artisanal cheese, zero vegetables, and a mystery gadget you'll never use? 🛒🧀

Let us be honest for a second. When you are managing a solo household, grocery shopping turns into an extreme sport.

You go down the aisles looking for peace and quiet, thinking you have total control over your budget and your meal plan.

Then reality hits: you pass the snack aisle, a neon sign screams "Special Promotion," and suddenly your cart is filled with things that make absolutely zero logical sense for a Tuesday night dinner.

Perfection is an illusion, and healing doesn't mean your pantry is always stocked like a military bunker—it means laughing at the impulse buys, enjoying the little treats, and building a home that feels warm and comforting on your own terms.

Your peace, and your snack choices, belong to you.

📌 Stop beating yourself up over a stray bag of chips or an unplanned luxury item. Your grocery cart doesn't define your worth; it just reflects a human trying to get through the week with a smile.

❓What is the most ridiculous impulse buy you've ever thrown into your shopping cart when you were supposed to be "being good"?

Tell me your story below!🧡

POV: You got the house in the divorce settlement... but you absolutely did not inherit any DIY handyman skills. 😳🛠️
Trying to tackle my own lounge home improvement project today turned into a complete comedic disaster. It turns out that reading flat-pack furniture instruction manuals requires a degree in ancient hieroglyphics, and holding a wrench does not automatically make you a professional home renovation expert. If you need me, I’ll be sitting in my chaotic mess hiring a handyman and drinking coffee in peace.

Part #21

Who else has tried to sit down for a quiet, relaxing movie night after the kids go to bed, only to spend the entire feature-length film whispering "go back to sleep" three hundred times? 🎬🤫

Let us be honest for a second.

When you are managing a solo household, "me time" is a precious commodity. You finally put on that show everyone has been talking about, grab your favorite snack, and sink into the couch feeling like you've conquered the day.

Then reality hits: the exact second the opening credits roll, tiny footsteps creep down the hallway, someone is suddenly thirsty, and someone else is having an existential crisis about a monster under the bed.

Perfection is an illusion, and healing doesn't mean you always get uninterrupted peace—it means laughing at the constant interruptions, embracing the bedtime circus, and knowing that quiet moments will return.

You can laugh out loud at the chaos and build a cozy, joyful home on your own terms. Your peace and your humor belong to you.

📌 Stop waiting for absolute perfection to enjoy your evenings. Sometimes the best memories are made right in the middle of the bedtime negotiation madness.

❓What is the show or movie you've tried to start five different times because you keep falling asleep or getting interrupted?
Tell me your story below!🧡

Part #20

Who else has tried to make fancy, picture-perfect weekend pancakes for the kids, only to accidentally carbonize a piece of dough so badly it could double as a hockey puck? 🥞🤦‍♀️

Let us be honest for a second. When you are managing solo parenting, households, and work shifts on your own, perfection is completely off the table. You see those gorgeous breakfast reels online and think you need to have it all together.

Then reality hits: your toddler's favorite meal is shaped like an absolute disaster, smoke is billowing from the kitchen, and you are standing there wearing your favorite apron wondering how flipping a flapjack turned into an extreme sport.

Perfection is an illusion, and healing doesn't mean you have to be a domestic goddess or master chef—it means laughing at the chaos, ordering backup pizza, and knowing your kids love you for your heart, not your frying pan skills.

You can laugh out loud at your own mishaps and build a joyful, warm home on your own terms. Your peace and your laughter belong to you.

📌 Stop trying to measure up to an impossible standard. Your children do not need a flawless parent; they need a happy one who can laugh when things burn.

❓What is your most hilarious kitchen disaster or cooking fail since becoming a single mom or dad?

Tell me your story below!🧡
