The Merafong City libraries chose to make Friday the 21st enjoyable with a twist. At the Khutsong community hall, an audience dressed in their traditional attire consisted of mainly elderly people who graced the attendees with a song and young people who latched information about different cultures and traditions from the older generation. This was to promote and celebrate Heritage day. After the engaging session, traditional food was served and everyone departed with information and the memory of having a good time. Remember, forgetting where you're from entails losing who you are.

Like they say "When one teaches, two learn," on Saturday the 15th of September a group of young people around Khutsong /Carletonville gathered at Legae SAVF for a career exhibition aimed at promoting education. Although the turnout was not as expected, there were presentations, question and answer sessions and a time they were given to engage with the Tshepo Themba projects coordinator should they have any enquiries with regards to applying. Video interviews to be posted during the week.

Madibeng Community and their leaders took over madibeng fm in brits today. When there was supposed to be a hand over of the memorandum to the station manager he didn't show up, leaving presenters in trauma after the community stormed in studio to remove a presenter who was on air...more to come. Be on the lockout.
