In the song story of ‘Hier by U’, Zaretha van Wyk shared some noteworthy thoughts on writing worship music with us: "To write music for the Lord is like having a private, intimate conversation with Him. It’s like giving a prayer to everyone. So now you’re in the situation, especially with this song, where you want to tell the Lord this really intimate thing like: “Lord, I so often go astray, and, thank you so much for continuously coming to get me from those places, it doesn’t matter where I find myself, you meet me there every time.” And then you write it, you pen it down and you sing it for everyone to hear. It’s such an intimate part of yourself, which definitely makes it a bit harder. I think it actually requires a lot of faith, because the Lord wants us to be open about Him."
