This Friday, we don’t just gather for music, we gather for memory, for legacy, and for love.

Poizen, our headliner and brother in sound, may no longer walk among us, but his bass still echoes in our bones. In his honor, we’ve chosen not to replace him. Instead, we’ll celebrate the sound he was known and loved for.

In Loving Memory of Caven “Poizen” Masetla

It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we acknowledge the untimely passing of Caven “Poizen” Masetla, a visionary, a sonic architect, and a beloved soul whose presence reverberated far beyond the decks.

Poizen was set to headline our upcoming FAWA Friday, where he would have unveiled his latest masterpiece, Ngiphe, an album that pulses with emotional depth, collaboration, and the unmistakable spirit of South African deephouse. The project, rich with vulnerability and layered storytelling, was more than music,it was a gift. A reflection of his artistry, his humanity, and his unwavering commitment to the culture A.

But Poizen was never just a spinner. He was a key contributor of the deephouse community. A curator of feeling. A connector of people. His sets didn’t just move bodies,they moved hearts. He gave voice to the unspoken, rhythm to the stillness, and joy to the quiet corners of our lives.

To his family and friends: may you find comfort in the legacy he leaves behind.
