This stunning flowering vine is as easy to care for as it is charming. This fast growing climber does well along a fence or trellis and is drought tolerant. It is also a good candidate for a groundcover or to trail down banks or low walls. Needs at least 6 hours of sunlight per day to flower abundantly but afternoon shade is no problem, prefers free-draining soil and be planted in a hanging basket or plant on a patio trellis🌸🪴🌿

🌿 PEONY ROOTS

Peonies need cold winters, frost, or even colder conditions to bloom beautifully.
They can bloom in milder climates such as Pretoria or Paarl, though with shorter stems. Still perfect for home gardens!
In very hot areas like Durban, peonies will not perform well.

🌿 PANICULATA HYDRANGEAS

Paniculatas thrive in cool winter climates and love frost.
They also do well in climates similar to Pretoria and Paarl, and are extremely hardy — tolerating winter temperatures as low as –25°C, making them ideal for Bloemfontein and all colder regions.

➕ Important Size Note (P9 plants)
Please note that our Paniculata Hydrangeas are supplied in P9 pots — this means a 9 cm pot size, and the plants are typically 1.5 years old.
We receive them directly from Europe in P9’s to keep shipping affordable.
On our own farm, we plant P9’s straight into the soil, where they grow beautifully.
From a P9 size, you can expect Paniculatas to take 3+ years to reach full maturity, with flowering improving each season.
