LK Publishers came into being because the owner, Hilda de la Rosa, had a dream to publish her first book, Love Versus Fear. She was a rookie in terms of book publishing and made expensive, rookie mistakes. Years ago, Hilda owned a magazine called Namasté and she dug out her moth-balled entrepreneurial skills and set about creating a publishing house that would not only publish her books but help others to bring their books to life.
“There is nothing quite like the feeling of holding your first book in your own hands.” She says. Her second book, Diary of a Wannabe Philosopher is already written and next in line for publication. She is currently writing the third book entitled, Get Your S**t Together. This promises to be a book in typical Hilda-style and will be a kick ass look at our lives and will encourage us to get our act together and create a better life for ourselves.
Because of Hilda’s background as a magazine publisher, she could re-awaken relationships and reconnect to resources that she had access to in the past and re-ignite her passion for sharing knowledge and inspiring others to be the best they can be. This is her way.
Hilda’s passion has always been vested in the self-development arena, simply because, from her own experience, she knows that the world can only change on person at a time. “If we want to make the world a better place, the only place to start is with ourselves.” She says. As a result of that LK Publishers will look at any manuscript that will add to her passion of making the world a better place. Be that through self-help, personal development, health and wellbeing, alternative health and holistic living.
