Happy Birthday Loco VFX! 3 years ago today, we opened Loco's doors for the first time! 3 years feels like a long time in some ways, and like the blink of an eye in others, but the journey's been incredible so far, each show memorable, each client a teacher, each day's challenges tempered by working with some of the best people we know. And by George's Dailies quip of course! Thank you all. We're just getting started!

We're busy shooting plates for an internal creature test and we're having an absolute blast! Shots are looking amazing! Tom Marais makes beautiful pictures.... even when location is limiting.

George's looking a bit perplexed in this snap taken during setups this morning. Kirsten, who's playing the lead role for us today, looks terrified...probably because of the huge pins being waved around behind her, just out of picture!

"The Games Maker" hits cinema screens across South America tomorrow, a few weeks ahead of its worldwide release. We've noticed interesting goodies popping up all over the web in the lead-up to the release, so we thought we'd post some for y'all to take a look.

We just heard some fantastic news about "Hard to Get", the new action-romance directed by newcomer Zee Ntuli, produced by Helena Springer and Junaid Ahmed, and on which Loco VFX was the primary VFX vendor...

"Hard to Get" will be opening the Durban International Film Festival which is being held from 17 to 27 July 2014!

"The Games Maker", the Disney/Beuna Vista feature Loco worked on earlier this year, is set to be released in cinemas across South America on 4 July 2014 ahead of its worldwide release a few weeks later. The new Spanish trailer is out in the wild:
