“The court heard that Albert Moetjie died on 13 December 2025, leaving his wife, Andrika Moetjie, an estate worth approximately R1.3 million.
The widow was reportedly advised to get a lawyer to assist her. She was then introduced to accused non1, who allegedly offered to help her. According to the court, accused no 1 subsequently opened a bank account in the widow’s name without the widow’s knowledge or consent.
It is alleged that accused no 2 and accused no 1, acting together, stole money belonging to the Moetjie family. The alleged transactions were:
7 April 2026: R501,000
7 April 2026: R55,000
8 April 2026: R57,000
9 April 2026: R78,000
9 April 2026: R30,000
9 April 2026: R10,000
13 April 2026: R354,000
15 April 2026: R400,000
The court heard that, once all the transactions were taken into account, approximately R1.3 million had allegedly been stolen. The money was supposed to go to the deceased’s wife, but it was allegedly used for their own purposes, with some of the money reportedly deposited into accused no 1 account.”

Yet people still believe these 2 criminals are being victimised sies

Pretoria metro police official in court over alleged R1.75m estate fraud

A 36-year-old Pretoria Metro Police Department (TMPD) official, Peter Nonyane, also known as "Lamasweet" or "Greater Gagash", is appearing in the Polokwane Magistrate's Court today, Monday, 17 August 2026, on charges of fraud and money laundering.

Nonyane was arrested in Pretoria on Friday by the Hawks' Serious Commercial Crime Investigation unit. Investigators allege that about R1.75 million was unlawfully withdrawn from a deceased estate's bank account.

Approximately R1.65 million of the money was allegedly used to purchase a pre-owned Mercedes-Benz AMG G63 from a Pretoria dealership, to the detriment of the estate's lawful beneficiaries.

A second suspect, reportedly Nonyane's wife and a lawyer who allegedly authorised the transfer, remains at large and is being traced.
