There are no quick fixes in counseling. Quick fixes bypass the root problem. Quick-fix solutions often provide only temporary relief, like cutting the top off a w**d instead of pulling it out.
The root of new life and lasting change is spiritual. If this is ignored you can be assured that the same painfilled issues of the soul will resurface again.

2 Corinthians 10 verse 4
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

Sometimes a gentle stream, sometimes a mighty river, sometimes a powerful wave. He conducts and we comply. Silence is golden, but also the Holy ROAR of the only Truth. A pure, undiluted stream. Surrender the gates of your voice- your lips, your mouth to the purifying coal of Holiness.
