Intending to push and promote upcoming Afro House/Tech producers and artists in the Afro/Tech music scene, Xpressed Records is an independent music record label with its roots in South Africa. Founded back in 2016, the distinguished record label started its operations in the field of artist promotion and product management back in 2017. In a more lucrative way, at Xpressed Record, we focus on publishing artists/producers with whom we work closely down to the last detail in order to get the most out of each individual release together with our partners. Our label primarily focuses on Afro House/Tech, but we have released a comprehensive blend of genres from Deep House to Progressive House and Electronica over the years. The record label has achieved over 70+ releases from various artists on the local scene (South Africa) and internationally. We desire to push/promote upcoming Afro House/Tech producers in the genre of Afro House with our label paving the way for underground artists and linking them to the global scene.

ASHE is out now.

Today marks the beginning of a journey.

The first single from Eyama’s forthcoming ASHE EP is officially out on all streaming platforms. Featuring the beautiful vocals of Azola and expressive trumpet melodies from Sanele Sanza Trump 🎺 ASHE is a celebration of rhythm, spirituality, and African musical expression.

To bring this project to life, we wanted to create visuals that reflect the music just as much as the sound itself. Swipe through for a few behind-the-scenes moments from our EP photoshoot, with the full visual campaign still to come.

We’re proud to see REMIXIA - Marrakech connecting with tastemakers, DJs and platforms across the Afro House scene.

The release picked up editorial support from Apple Music ‘s New Music Daily, Afro House Nation and Isgubhu, alongside features on Beatport and Traxsource including Best New Afro House, Afro House Hype Picks, What’s Hot, Weekend Weapons and more.

DJ support has come from some of the scene’s most respected names, including SHIMZA Kitty Amor Hanna Hais Bun Xapa DJEFF DJ Ruckus Vinny Da Vinci Stones & Bones and many others.

Born from a melody captured during a transformative trip to Morocco, Marrakech is a record about creative rediscovery, and we’re grateful to see its story resonate around the world.

Their latest single, “Marrakech,” was born during a transformative trip to the vibrant Moroccan city in 2024, at a time when the duo were still discovering their creative identity together. Inspired by the city’s magnetic energy and thriving electronic scene, the initial melody was captured as a simple voice note before eventually evolving into the emotive Afro House record heard today.

Hypnotic rhythms, warm melodic arrangements and atmospheric textures come together to create a deeply transportive listening experience, reflecting both creative rediscovery and artistic evolution.

House Villains return with The Journey, shaped around a steady interplay of rhythm and atmosphere, carrying a sense of forward motion that unfolds with control. The track builds from grounded, percussive foundations into a deeper, more immersive space, where textured synth work and subtle melodic layers begin to take shape around the groove.

Its progression is patient, driven by gradual shifts rather than sudden moments, allowing the energy to develop with intention. At its core, the rhythm remains constant, pulling everything together while low-end movement and evolving tones create a feeling of continuity and direction.

There is a balance between introspection and momentum throughout, giving the record a natural place within a set. The Journey does not rush toward a destination. It holds its pace, letting tension and release move side by side as the groove carries forward.
