LPGA TOUR: Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G - The tournament has been canceled due to heavy rain this weekend and a less-than-desirable forecast, the LPGA announced Sunday morning. As a result, the decision has been made, with only player's 18-hole score counting. The tournament will be unofficial with no CME points awarded. The original purse was $3 million with the winner taking home $450,000 for the first-place prize. But $2 million was distributed, which is $500,000 more than LPGA rules stipulate is required, and those further down the leaderboard were given $3,500. So, 🇺🇸Sarah Schmelzel and 🇯🇵Minami Katsu, for shooting eight-under 63, ended at the top and each took home $183,095. Again, it will not be considered an official LPGA victory. The 🇿🇦South Africans finished; Paula Reto T18 (-5).

LPGA TOUR: Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G, Round 2 -Heavy rain and dangerous weather led the LPGA Tour to shut down the second round Saturday before everyone even started, leading to uncertainty over how much of the event can be completed. Already the shortest tournament on the schedule, 54 holes, players could be in for a long day or a lot more waiting. Because of the rain, no one completed more than three holes. The LPGA said it would determine Sunday morning if Pinnacle Country Club was playable, and then the second round would resume at 7:10 a.m. CDT. 🇺🇸Alison Lee was able to play three holes of the second round at one under and had an eight-under total after shooting 64 in the first round. First-round co-leaders 🇺🇸Sarah Schmelzel and 🇯🇵Minami Katsu, who opened with 63s, had yet to tee off. The 🇿🇦South Africans are placed; Paula Reto T19 (-5) thru 3.
