I was in the Kingsmead Auditorium on 19 September 2026 — and the energy was unmistakable. Under the theme “Unlocking Youth Economic Participation”, 100 youth SMEs, corporate partners and mentors came together to turn ideas into accountable action.

Russell Curtis urged a shift from passive expectation to internal agency: build operational discipline, keep clean records, and focus on ex*****on. That message matters because capital follows momentum — not entitlement.

Kwakha Collective and BusinessFit SA showed how networks and governance combine to make youth businesses bankable. From green skills in the Green Biz Incubator to BusinessFit’s 5‑Stage Quality Assurance, practical support is scaling local impact across KZN.

I’m proud that KZN Top Business amplifies these stories. When corporates, mentors and young founders unite, we don’t just create jobs—we build sustainable enterprises and stronger communities.

Tell us: which part of this roadmap matters most to your organisation — access to markets, governance support, or mentorship? Join the conversation and read the full report: https://wix.to/MZQFIbS
