Junior Marketing & Fundraising Officer (Maternity Cover) – Temporary Contract

About CROW:
The Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) is a leading wildlife rehabilitation organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing injured and orphaned wild animals. We rely on public support and fundraising efforts to continue our vital work. We are seeking a Junior Marketing & Fundraising Officer (Maternity Cover) to join our team temporarily and assist primarily with our major annual fundraising event, Walk in the Wild. This role is ideal for a dynamic, detail-oriented individual with experience in marketing, fundraising, and event coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

While the Marketing & Fundraising Officer typically oversees a broad range of marketing and fundraising activities, this temporary role will be primarily focused on supporting our Walk in the Wild event. Responsibilities will include:

Assisting with planning and promoting the Walk in the Wild, including sponsorship outreach, marketing campaigns, and logistical support.
Managing CROW’s social media pages, engaging followers, and creating compelling content.
Supporting marketing and PR efforts, including designing promotional materials, writing press releases, and liaising with media contacts.
Assisting in donor relations by maintaining communication with supporters through monthly newsletter, issuing thank-you letters, and managing donor databases.
Helping to film and edit short videos for CROW’s YouTube channel and social media.
Providing administrative and event coordination support as needed.

Requirements:

2-3 years of experience in marketing, fundraising, public relations, or communications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience managing social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube etc.).
Event planning or fundraising experience is highly beneficial.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with Canva and Mailblaze is a plus!
Passion for wildlife conservation and non-profit work is a plus!

Contract Details:

📆 Start Date: 7 April 2025
📆 End Date: 29 August 2025
💰 Remuneration: As a non-profit organization, our salaries are aligned with the sector and dependent on experience.
