Trauma…
I’ve found myself developing an interest on the affects of trauma and how it impacts our every day lives. So much so that’s it’s becomes one of my areas of specialty at .
One thing about trauma, you need professional help to create a new meaning to life where a traumatic experience becomes something you’ve encountered and conquered, and not something you identify with as part of who you are.

No deep captions again today. Just thought I’d take you through the process of how I decided to caption this post.
Initially I wanted to caption this WCW. I probably still do but then a little part of my heart just sank when I realized that actually, we can celebrate our femininity all we want but it doesn’t numb the reality of the daily struggles we still face as women in South Africa. Today I woke up to a ‘how to protect yourself in an uber’ thread, and a few ‘I cancelled the ride because my gut feeling was telling me to’ thread. I also noticed a few ‘men don’t go around touching other men on the waist when they ask you to move so why do they do that to women’ thread.. my heart sank because I wanted to caption WCW so badly in celebration of how far we have come but the reality hit real quick.. I’ll still caption WCW though because I guess I never realized the importance of being grateful that I actually lived to see another day today.. so happy Wednesday beautiful people. Yet again we have lived to see another day. Stay safe. Stay queening. Today I celebrate all the women I know, you are my WCWs today, keep conquering, we might not win the war today but maybe someday we will.

On Friday’s we don’t post hectic captions. We just remind people that’s it’s finally time to take a break (well for most) and give yourself a pat on the shoulder for how well you’ve done in the past week. How far you’ve come. The mere fact that you’re even reading this means you decided to press on one more day, to faith on one more day and to not let whatever short term challenge you may be going through define you.
On Fridays we celebrate daily goals slayed, weekly goals being ticked off our to do lists and we give ourselves credit for deciding to give it one more go.
Celebrating each and everyone of you today with all the challenges and stresses and battles you chose to overcome. You’re doing well 💪🏿👑

So one of the reasons why I started my YouTube channel was because I was not seeing a lot of people being vocal enough in talking about how we sometimes create social constructs that imprison us in various ways. I started my channel from a place of frustration. I was frustrated about feeling like there’s so much more we can do as a society to deconstruct these walls of imprisonment we so freely created for ourselves, without really taking any responsibility!
My second YouTube video is basically me sharing my views on how I think GBV is a social construct that we need to challenge and change within our family systems and communities. Trust me when I say, you don’t want to miss this video.
Kindly check my bio for my YouTube channel link, subscribe, like, comment and share. I promise it will be all worth it.
It all starts with you and I. Let’s make a notable difference. Subscribe subscribe subscribe ✊🏽

So I’m probably part of the one percent of people who ended up in professions they knew nothing about. In my first video I explain how that happened, how I ‘accidentally’ found myself in a career that I had no idea would save me from one of the darkest spaces I’d ever been in. A career that taught me so much about myself, my toxic traits, my good traits, why I ended up in certain situations and what influenced some of the choices I made. Help me help you learn more about yourself through my experience and my profession. Subscribe to my channel, link is on my bio. I can assure you won’t regret embarking on this journey with me. Let’s get it done 💪🏿
