Cape Town-born Strength and Conditioning Coach Shiroux Fredericks continues to make international strides in the Saudi Women’s Premier League.

Fredericks, originally from Portlands in Mitchell’s Plain, built his career through a combination of education and on-field experience.

After completing his Sport Science degree and PGCE at UWC, he held roles at Cape Town All Stars, Milano United, AC Milan Academy and the Liverpool Academy — where he won the Global Coach of the Month Award.

Now armed with a UEFA C Licence, he plays a key role in player performance development in Saudi Arabia, contributing to the rapid rise of the women’s game.

Fredericks credits discipline, mentorship and faith for his journey, and encourages young athletes to “stay humble, work hard and trust Allah.”
