168 UKZN university students left stranded without accomodation.

UKZN have allegedly failed to pay rent to the landlord for 5 months.

Apparently, UKZN have been accused of acting unlawfully with payments as the university acted on a suspended court order thats been appealed.

With this matter ongoing for 5 months and UKZN being fully aware of the lease agreement being cancelled for non-payment, UKZN is being accused of acting irresponsibly and negligent regarding the students.

The landlord terminated the lease agreement in April after not receiving payment from UKZN and the agent for 5 months.
