Daliwonga (born in Diepkloof, Soweto) is a South African poetic singer. He is popular for using South Africa’s fastest-growing electronic-music movement Amapiano in his works.

He was born in Diepkloof, Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa and was named Daliwonga Matiwane.

The singer has been entertaining music lovers with his hit since 2019. He has been dropping them under BlaqBoy Music.

He has further had collaborations with popular names in the industry like King Monada, Sha Sha, and Kabaza De Small. He worked on “Tester” with King Monada. The song made waves and was heard on several commercial radio stations. He collaborated with Luu Nineleven to release “Sematasatasa” and has recorded more collaborations in his music profession so far. He featured on several tracks dropped under the group KLS. The group consists of Kelvin Momo, Luu Nineleven, and Stoks. Matiwane is also a poet and has made a unique impact in the industry with his talent. He tells a tale utilizing Amapiano instruments to suit his lyrics. He dropped his album Chameleon in 2019 and it recorded huge success.

At least eight people were killed, ranging in age from 14 to 27, and dozens more were injured at a music festival in Houston on Friday night after a large crowd began pushing toward the front of the stage, city officials said at a news conference Saturday afternoon.

The crowd surge, during a performance by the rapper Travis Scott, “caused some panic, and it started causing some injuries,” the city’s fire chief, Samuel Peña, said Saturday morning. The concert was part of the Astroworld music festival, a two-day event that began on Friday. About 50,000 people were there on Friday night, according to the Fire Department.

“It was like hell,” said Nick Johnson, 17, who still had his concert bracelet on as he spoke Saturday morning. “Everybody was just in the back, trying to rush to the front.”
