💡 Content Creators Did You Know On Facebook You Can Support Musicians by Adding Their Music On Your Content Videos And Also Receive A Portion Of 20% From The Video From Your Monetized Account 🤔
Musicians can earn from ad revenue sharing on videos featuring their licensed music. Creators receive a 20% share of the ad revenue generated by videos that use licensed music, with the remaining portion going to the rights holders and Meta. This feature, known as Music Revenue Sharing, helps creators monetize their videos while also supporting music rights holders.
Here's how it works:
Eligibility: Creators must be eligible for in-stream ads and meet Facebook's monetization criteria.
Video Requirements: The video must be at least 60 seconds long and uploaded to a page.
Licensed Music: The featured song must be included in the Licensed Music library on Facebook.
Visual Component: There must be a visual component in the video; the licensed music itself cannot be the primary focus.
Revenue Sharing: Creators receive 20% of the ad revenue generated by eligible videos.
Rights Holders: A portion of the revenue is also shared with the music rights holders.
Meta's Share: Meta retains a portion of the revenue as well.
In South Africa, this feature provides an avenue for musicians to earn from the use of their music in creator-generated content on Facebook, allowing them to monetize their work beyond traditional means.
Note : in order to receive a 20% share of the ad revenue generated by videos you need to accept the changes when Meta notify you about the video claims & if you don't accept the changes the copyright holder can mute your video on Facebook or Meta Platforms.🤟🏾
