As I hold the flag of the United States of America, I do so as a symbol of hope, democracy, freedom, and the belief that every human life matters.

Today, millions of Nigerians are facing enormous challeñges. Insecürity, kidnaappiñgs, baañditry, viøleñt attàcks, and economic hærdship have left many families living in fær and uncertainty.

Mr. President, many Nigerians look to influential world leaders and democratic nations to pay attention to the struggles of ordinary people who desire peace, security, justice, and accountable leadership.

This is not a call for division. It is a call for humanity.

Nigeria is blessed with talented, hardworking, and resilient people, yet many have lost confidence in the ability of those in power to address the challenges confronting the nation. Across Africa, countless young people are searching for hope, opportunity, and a future they can believe in.

To President Donald J. Trump and the international community: do not ignore the voices of millions who desire peace, security, and good governance. Stand for the values of freedom, justice, and human dignity wherever they are thrætened.

The world becomes stronger when nations stand for what is right.

Nigeria deserves peace.
Nigeria deserves security.
Nigeria deserves accountable leadership.
