3rd Annual Debate Competition Loading!!!

The Isililo seZibazana Healing Movement proudly announces the 3rd Annual Debate Competition, an intellectual and cultural dialogue platform dedicated to addressing social issues affecting young people, particularly young men.

This debate competition forms part of the movement’s broader mission of healing communities, empowering youth, and promoting responsible masculinity through sports, culture, and dialogue. The event brings together students, young leaders, and community voices to engage in structured discussions around critical topics such as gender-based violence, the wellbeing of young men, and the experiences of initiates returning from the bush during ulwaluko.

Through debate, participants are encouraged to develop critical thinking, public speaking, leadership, and social awareness, while contributing to meaningful conversations that can influence change in their communities.
The 3rd Annual Debate Competition will continue to build on the success of previous years by creating a safe and respectful platform for dialogue, where ideas can be exchanged and solutions can be explored collectively.
In most structured debate competitions, teams argue for or against a specific topic, with each team presenting arguments and rebuttals before judges determine the winning side based on reasoning, evidence, and presentation.
