“For quite some time our camp has been discussing releasing a cover version. What is usually a tough decision to get everyone to agree on, came relatively easy. Everyone threw a couple songs in the hat, where there happened to be a few ideas of more gothic / industrial tracks. Reaching a consensus with Type O Negative’s ‘I Don’t Wanna Be Me’, certainly not a band or genre you’d easily associate with Lower Hollow, which made it perfect.”

We cannot wait to share this album with the world!!

We are finally able to announce our new album 'An Age of Ash', which will be released on March 27, 2026.

With this new album, we wanted to do something more cohesive than our previous releases and decided to produce it as a concept album. We also wanted a more natural-sounding album and opted for a live recording without click, with each song recorded in full in one take. The idea behind the concept of the album is as follows:

In a world where evil has been forgotten, a new enemy emerges. Humanity, forgetting the threat posed by a primal fear, fights to destroy everything the Chosen once brought together. A girl loses her family in an act of war, not realising her father lives on in a demonic form, betraying them in a moment of utter despair and weakness, her mother, captured and encased in endless torture. An incompetent king, unknowingly controlled from the shadows, leads the cities of men to ruin. Balex, the Lord of Dirt, fights to redeem himself and save his family, burning everything in his path. Meanwhile, a new Chosen emerges to challenge the tyrannical powers of a corrupt nation. Despite the impotence of its leader, a much darker force is at play, which threatens the entire existence of humanity. The archfiends, once known as the Ynyes rise to take back their subjects, to make them thralls once again. With light fading and no hope in sight, the battle rages on, the future of humanity in the balance.

South African alternative legends No Friends of Harry have unearthed a rare gem — their 1991 demo cover of Neil Young’s “Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)”, recovered from a long-lost ¼-inch analog tape.

Recorded live in studio the track is raw, powerful, and pure 90s energy — this is a piece of local rock history brought back to life.
