*WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER A MAN'S DISMEMBERED BODY WAS DESCOVERED IN ERMELO*

*Nelspruit: 13 August 2025* - A female suspect (33) has been arrested in connection with a shocking incident that occurred at Ext 2, Wesselton in Ermelo whereby a 37-year-old man was tragically stabbed to death, allegedly by a female companion. The Police received a report on Monday night, 11 August 2025 and promptly dispatched officers to the scene, where they discovered some dismembered body parts inside a plastic bag whilst other body parts were found inside a maize meal bag.

Preliminary investigations suggest that an argument between the suspect and the victim ensued, resulting in a tragic incident whereby the victim was stabbed to death.

The suspect is facing a charge of murder as well as defeating the ends of justice. She is expected to appear at the Ermelo Magistrate's Court on Thursday, 14 August 2025.

The Acting Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Major General (Dr) Zeph Mkhwanazi, has appreciated the one who reported the matter to the Police. The General has further expressed his concern over murders that are reportedly perpetuated mostly by people who are either in a relationship or known to the family members. "When the time comes for the release of crime statistics, we often experience that cases of murder are committed by people that are close to each other. This is where we urge communities to work collaborately with us to prevent similar incidents. Such type of incidents reflects moral decay in the society, " said the General.
