🔵 MAMELODI SUNDOWNS | CARDOSO SAYS SALENG WILL NOT BE SHUT OUT
Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso says the club will not shut out Monnapule Saleng, who appeared to be in a poor mental state after the MTN8 final this past weekend.
While Downs were celebrating winning the MTN8 trophy against Orlando Pirates, Saleng was seen leaning against a wall, looking dejected — a moment that touched many fans.
Speaking after Sundowns thrashed Richards Bay 4-1 in the league, Cardoso said:
> "The club, from the management, the technical team and the players, took a decision to bring Saleng back to the gym. Saleng has continued to train alone and has shown respect to the team. Since he returned to the gym, he has been keeping discipline. I hope he will get a chance to play when the time comes."
> "I tried to celebrate with him and gave him a chance to lift the MTN8 trophy because I support him," Cardoso told the media.
Sundowns fans will now be hoping to see Saleng back on the pitch soon.
