ICYMI: Durban North residents appeal approval of large development
One of the most read stories this year was this one, where Durban North residents challenged the City’s approval of a 42-unit development at 43 Stirling Crescent, saying it’s far out of character with the traditionally low-density residential neighbourhood.
Matt Hansen, represented 27 local property owners, who lodged an appeal after the eThekwini Municipality gave the green light for the project late last year — despite neighbours successfully objecting to a four-unit plan on the neighbouring property in 2022.
