XITSONGA CORPUS BUILDING | INVITATION - This project aims to build a monolingual Xitsonga corpus using Nthavela newspapers (2012–2022), an indigenous publication written in Xitsonga. The initiative involves cleaning raw newspaper data to extract usable text, compiling it into a structured corpus, and integrating it into the Voyant Tools platform—a widely used digital text analysis tool. This will make Xitsonga one of the supported languages on the platform, enhancing digital access, research, and preservation of the language. RSVP NOW.
