ELDERLY WOMAN WHO KILLED A 10 - YEAR OLD RELATIVE ABANDONS BAIL

SESHEGO : An elderly woman, Johanna Matloga, accused of killing her 10-year-old relative Lindiwe Ramarumo has abandoned her bail.

The suspect appeared before the Seshego Magistrate’s Court today.

Matloga is facing a charge of murder and defeating the ends of justice after she allegedly fetched the child from her home with false pretense that she would drop her off in Polokwane to her grandmother but allegedly killed her, chopped her body parts and threw her body in front of a moving truck to make it seem like an accident.

Ramarumo was allegedly killed on the 6th of June and her body was recovered the following day.

Despite this, her family has not been able to lay her to rest due to delays in the DNA forensic results from the Police.

IEC REJECTS BOY MAMABOLO’S ’s “MANDELA FOR PRESIDENT ” PARTY REGISTRATION

POLOKWANE : The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has rejected the registration of former ANC MP Boy Mamabolo’s new political party, “Mandela for President.”

The party failed to meet critical requirements, including the minimum number of valid signatures and the threshold for registered voters.

The IEC also expressed concern that the party’s name, coupled with its green and black colors, could mislead voters into believing it has an association with the late former President Nelson Mandela.

Further scrutiny revealed discrepancies between the party’s constitutional documents and IEC records regarding leadership details. While the party lists its founding convener as Mandela Jacob Boy Mamabolo, the IEC’s records show Jacob Boy Mamabolo, indicating possible misrepresentation.

As a result, Boy Mamabolo’s party remains unregistered and ineligible to participate in upcoming elections.
