AmaHlubi Will Not Beg — We Demand What Is Rightfully Ours

By: Sicelo Thobekani William Nkalitshana (uNkomo, uMntungwa, uLubelo, uYengwayo
On behalf of the AmaHlubi Nation (ANEC) under the leadership of our Chairperson :Musa Hadebe

Sanibona MaHlubi, maNghelenghele.
Abaphathi besizwe,
Abadala bethu,
Amadodana namadodakazi akwaHlubi.

Ngiyabingelela kini nonke — and today, I rise not in sorrow, but in pride.
I rise not to beg, but to declare.

🛑 "Why Must We Beg in Africa to Be African?"

Why — I ask you — must we as AmaHlubi, the sons and daughters of Embo, of Africa
Who descended into southern Africa in the early 1300s —
Long before the white man arrived, long before borders were drawn —
Why must we plead to be recognized in our own land?

This land that bears our footprints.
Its rivers know our names.
Our kings ruled with dignity.
Our people resisted with courage.
We are not guests in this country. We are its foundation.

⚖️ Our History Was Disrupted, Not Erased

In 1873, our kingdom was attacked.
King Langalibalele I was arrested, exiled, dishonored —
Not because he was a criminal, but because he was a king who would not bow to the colonial empire.
Since then, our people were scattered — fragmented across provinces and towns of south Africa .

But let me say this clearly:

You can scatter the people — but you cannot kill the spirit of a nation.
And the spirit of amaHlubi is still alive

It lives in our language.
It beats in our music.
It stands in our king — Muziwenkosi Langalibalele II — who carries our crown with pride.

🗣️ We Are Africans — We Are a Nation

It is an insult to ask us to “apply” for recognition.
To ask us to prove that we are who we have always been.

Why must African governments behave like the colonial masters they replaced?

Why are other nations recognized, restored funded, celebrated —
While amaHlubi, with a deeper history and equal dignity, are pushed aside?

✊🏾 We Demand What Is Ours

We are not asking for charity.
We are not asking for a favour.
We are demanding justice.
We are demanding restoration .

We call on the South African government to:

1. Restore the AmaHlubi Kingdom as a rightful traditional authority.

2. Restore our royal house and allow our king to sit among other kings.

3. Support our efforts to revive our language, heritage, and culture.

4. Include AmaHlubi in national and provincial cultural programs and structures.

This is our constitutional right.
This is our ancestral right.
This is our human and birth right.

# AmaHlubi Will Rise Again

Let them know:
AmaHlubi awakhohlwa.
AmaHlubi awafi.
AmaHlubi azovuka.

Let every child born today know they come from royalty.
Let every elder know their suffering was not in vain.
Let every leader hear our voice — loud, proud, and unapologetically African.

We are done waiting.
We are done begging.
We are rising.
Siyavuka. AmaHlubi ayavuka.

Thank you. Bayede!

SAPS LAUNCHES ITS E-RECRUITMENT DRIVE FOR 5 500 POLICE TRAINEES, A FIRST OF ITS KIND FOR THE ORGANISATION

The South African Police Service (SAPS) has launched its much anticipated e-Recruitment drive on its official website for 5 500 aspiring police officers to join its ranks.

For the first time in the history of the existence of the organisation, the SAPS is utilising an Electronic Recruitment System, through which youth from all walks of life, can submit their applications to be considered for the entry level Police Trainee posts.

The shift to a digital platform is expected to reduce paperwork, curb corruption and nepotism, and prevent lost applications. It will also enhance fairness, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and improve the integrity and speed of the recruitment process.

The nationwide recruitment drive begins today, 30 June 2025, with online applications closing on 18 July 2025. It targets young men and women aged 18 to 35 to join as police trainees for the 2025/2026 financial year.

Qualifying young men and women without criminal records and/or pending criminal cases are encouraged to apply by visiting www.saps.gov.za/careers then select the e-Recruitment portal from the drop down menu.

It is worth mentioning that the SAPS will implement a targeted recruitment process to identify and consider applicants with specific skills and/or qualifications, i.e., Graduates in Law, Policing, Criminology, Law Enforcement, Forensic Investigation, and Information Technology, for placement in the specialised environments such as the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI), Detective and Forensic Services as well as Crime Intelligence (CI).

To ensure that the SAPS enlist disciplined, energetic, intelligent, physically and mentally fit individuals, dedicated to serving their country through Policing, applicants will be subjected to a rigorous selection process, which entails: psychometric, integrity, physical fitness assessments and fingerprint/vetting screening as well as medical evaluations.

Successful recruits will undergo nine-month-long training at the SAPS training academies nationwide and receive a monthly stipend of R4 500.

In the last three years, the SAPS Project 10 000, an initiative led by President of RSA, Mr Cyril Ramaphosa to bolster crime prevention efforts, has led to the recruitment and training of 30 393 young people between the ages of 18 and 35 as fully-fledged police officers.

There are currently 5 500 young people in SAPS academies who are training to become fully-fledged police officers. Some will graduate in August 2025, while the rest will graduate in December 2025.

The application process is free of charge, and no position within the SAPS is for sale. Applications must be submitted exclusively through the official SAPS website portal.
