CREATIVITY RISING KA HARA KASI!!
Kasi is Growing and our creatives are now playing the long game!!

Another day, another FRIYAY!!!!
Today's FRIYAY e differentnyana because what do you mean there are no creatives in small towns!!
Something is happening ka hara Kasi and we need to talk about it!!
Slowly but surely, our creatives are stepping out, putting themselves out there and reminding us that talent is not only found in big cities. It didn't start now, it is basically something that's been brewing for years, but now, we have found the courage to take the stand and see the possibilities. From music and dance to fashion, beauty, visual arts, entrepreneurship and sports, our people are creating spaces to showcase what they can do.
I mean, let's look at what has been happening recently and what is to happen.
We had the Mafube Heritage Revival Festival, reminding us of who we are, celebrating our culture and heritage together. The upcoming Namahadi Market's First Anniversary Celebration(hope you saw the lineup, a proof of creatives living amongst us), which is creating a space for local businesses, fashion, beauty,music, dance and entertainment.
Then we have the Vibe Check at Kasi Chesanyana, giving upcoming hip-hop heads a chance to grab the mic and show us what they've got. And the B2B Farmer's market bringing the similar feel of the classic famers market, we all hear of and experience once every blue moon .
Let's not forget our drivers, our headaches, exactly kere the very ones we fight with over change and dropoffs, Abomageza, they literally started something that not only brings the community together but rather collect every Kasi and creating a whole community, while also doing it for the benefit of our children.
Not forgetting every other organisation, group and creatives who have decided to step up and bring it on for Kasi.
Different platforms, different talents, different stories, but one thing in common: Our Kasi people are creating opportunities for our own to shine!!
Of course, showing up is one thing,but keeping the momentum going is another. Our creatives, entrepreneurs and sporting talent need us to pull through, attend their events, share their work and spread the word. Support must go beyond the day of the event. Let's not wait until someone has made it big before we start claiming them. Let's help develop and encourage them now!!!
To our creatives, entrepreneurs and sporting talent, it takes a village, no man is an island. Collaboration doesn't mean the other is taking the shine away from you, collaboration is a way of making sure we all grow and prosper!!!
At Kasi Kreative Kanvas (K3), we believe there are stories worth telling, talent worth discovering and people worth celebrating right here in our communities. We want to document these moments, amplify our people and make our local creatives not to get lost in the noise.
We might not be where we want to be yet, but re ya hola!! We are finally getting a chance to step up and show up. One event, one performance, one game, one workshop, one collaboration a d one opportunity at a time.
Kasi is creating. Kasi is competing. Kasi is showing up.
