MAGOLETSA HIGH SCHOOL RECEIVE
MOBILE CLASSROOMS AND DESKS DONATION
KGAPANE-Magoletsa High School, based in Meidingen Village, in the Greater Letaba Municipality, resumed classes on a good note yesterday morning, this follows the delivery of mobile classrooms, desks, and chairs.
Mme Ria Ledwaba, who is a prominent businesswoman and sports administrator donated desks, chairs, and a few offices tables to the school while the Limpopo department of Education delivered mobile classrooms.
The much-anticipated delivery was welcomed by different organs of the school, the SGB, educators, and learners.
However, the long battle to get the school renovated has left them frustrated and some said this is too little, too late.
Different political organizations also fought tooth and nail with the Department of Education to give the dilapidated school a revamp.
The overall structure of Magoletsa high school is a health hazard and not conducive to carry out educational activities.
The school principal was nonetheless in a jovial mood when contacted by Tzaneen voice and expressed gratitude to entities involved in improving the quality of education at the institution.
"To tell you the truth I am over the moon. This gesture by Mme Ria Ledwaba came as a surprise but I am quite certain that now our learners' performance will improve. The school's development is beginning to take shape. I am a happy man. Also, we thank the Department of Education for making an effort to make our working conditions bearable".He said joyfully.
Meanwhile, parents, teachers, learners and community members gathered at the school to witness this memorable event.
The Department of Education's spokesperson Tidimalo Chuene also expressed satisfaction but said the road is still long ahead as this is only a temporary solution.
"The road is long. This is just the beginning of great things to come. We will strive to get the school back to its former position if not better". She said.
