IT’S RAINING PROFITS

African Rainbow Capital (ARC), led by Patrice Motsepe, has invested an additional R295-million in TymeBank and telecom company Rain.

Rain, known for its affordable mobile services, reported R2.5-billion in earnings and saw a R598-million value gain.

TymeBank now has 9.5 million customers and plans international expansion, with strong growth in Vietnam and the Philippines. Profits for both companies are expected soon.

MAN, 24, FOUND MURDERED IN SEKGAKGAPENG VILLAGE

A 24-year-old man was found dead in his home in Sekgakgapeng village, Khalanyoni, on Saturday, September 14, 2024, with multiple visible injuries.

Mahwelereng police are investigating the murder after being summoned to the scene along with emergency medical services. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are still unknown, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.

"We appeal to the community to assist us in solving this case," said Colonel Malesela Ledwaba.

Anyone with information can contact Sergeant Lesiba Sekutu at 082 565 9056 or the crime stop number at 08600 10111. Alternatively, they can visit the nearest police station or use the MySAPS App.

The police are working to determine the motive behind the murder and ensure that justice is served.
