Wesbank Rugbyklub took a bow to honor the late club legend Mr Emile Syster today just before the first team match start.

Mr Syster sadly passed away early this week. It is said that he was a club legend and a supporter who used to wear number 12. He will be remembered and missed for his strong passion and support for the club. He was laid to rest today the 19th of July 2025.

A new case of Mpox has been confirmed in Western Cape, as South Africa sees a steady rise in infections. The patient, a 32-year-old man from Cape Town, is among two newly reported cases, with the second being a 45-year-old man from Johannesburg.



Both individuals have no recent travel history to regions experiencing mpox outbreaks.

According to National Health Department spokesperson Foster Mohale, “the number of laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease is gradually rising in the country”. This brings the total to ten confirmed infections since the start of 2025.

Malmesbury students experienced a day in Parliament in Cape Town.

On Tuesday the 15th of July 2025, Malmesbury school students were given a unique insight into a wide range of potential career paths within politics and Parliament, as part of learning how certain programms are conducted in Parliament.

According to the organizers of this tour, Irish-Lee Peterson and Raymond Mains, this tour includes six wards of Malmesbury. They have chosen scholars from schools in six wards. Irish said they will take from the remaining six wards on their second trip as Malmesbury consists of 12 wards all together. She also said she is very happy to see kids experiencing such an amazing tour and hoping that it will spark an interest for them to dream big to be in Parliament one day. She also applauded parents who trusted them with their kids to attend this tour at the last minute. She also mentioned that they also took Audrey, who is over 60 years to this trip and she was so excited about the experience.

The crew had a chance to meet up with Patriotic Alliance Members of Parliament who were there to give motivation to the students. It is said that Juliet Basson from PA on a picture below played a huge role for this trip to be a success
