The KZNSA Gallery is delighted to partner up with Africa’s leading art auction house to assist members of the public with obligation-free valuations of their artworks from 14:00 - 17:00.

As part of our current exhibition, our Annual Members’ Award Show: Imisinga (Currents) there will be a talk held from 17h30 – 19h00 covering topics relevant to aspiring artists and creatives. We have the pleasure of hosting our top three artists as speakers Thobani Khanyile, Ann- Marie Tully and Gary McIver who will be talking on their winning pieces and the processes involved in their inception, creation and installation.

🚨Raffle Alert! We will also be holding a raffle draw, with the winner receiving a KZNSA-branded sweatshirt and a couple of extra goodies! KZNSA Members will receive one free entry into the raffle on presentation of their digital membership cards at the door. Entries into the raffle will be available for non-members at R50 per entry, and all are encouraged to purchase multiple entries to increase their chances of winning!

Join the Heat Winter Arts Festival for an unmissable afternoon where art and choral music come together at the iconic Iziko South African National Gallery. Let the enchanting voices of Amici de Lumine guide you through the powerful exhibition, Motherhood: Duality and Paradox, curated by Andrea Lewis.

✨ Special highlight: Celebrated ceramic artist Zizipho Poswa will be in conversation with curator Andrea Lewis about her new, deeply personal work Makhul’uNokhumbuzile (Remembrance)—a tribute to her grandmother and a broader homage to the role of motherhood in African communities.

The Heat Winter Arts Festival runs from 6 to 16 August across more than 13 galleries in Cape Town’s city centre. The art exhibitions curated to speak to the Other Worlding theme are the focus of the festival. Classical and contemporary music, theatre, stand-up and VR experiences all make for an exciting festival that will draw audiences to the city in winter.

Experience the vibrant sounds of Sky Dladla, a celebrated African musician from Gugulethu, Cape Town, known for her masterful marimba performances and deep-rooted passion for indigenous instruments.

Founder of Blackroots Marimbas, Sky Dladla has performed at festivals across South Africa and internationally, and most recently composed music for the Netflix documentary ‘Pangolin’.
