I have a question.

You see, when doing a Diploma, Degree, Masters or PhD, you are supposed to submit a Research Paper or Dissertation in order to graduate.

And that paper must be scientific. You don't just dream up findings & conclusions. You have to get them from an actual study.. This teaches you how to never make conclusions from you own head and claim they are true.

Now let me ask...

When doing a Diploma, Degree, Master or PhD in christian based fields; theology, ministry, divinity, etc, are you also required to do a dissertation?

As in you go and do an actual study, even a desk based study from the bible, and present tangible results... Or your can just write a story of the vision you had and it's enough to graduate..

Why do I ask?

You see, it's only christian leaders who will come up with conclusions, based on findings made up on their own head, or based on miss interpretations from the bible, or even pure hallucinations and we are supposed to believe them...

You will hear things like; "These viral videos are caused by a spell on the nation.." OK. How did you know? What study did you take? What was your methodology... Have your assertions been peer reviewed?

It's even worse when they say; "God told me" or "I had a vision", because now we can't argue with them... When we argue, it looks like we are arguing with God... So they can lie that God told them, and get away with it..

Actually, "God told me.." and "I had a vision" is one of the greatest lies in Christian leadership circles... It can't be substantiated, but must be believed...

Yes, some of the intentions are good and pure. But do you have to lie so that your good intentions are heard and believed?

Anyway, I was just asking... Let me prepare for class.

Trending Videos

In the recent past we have heard about a number of inappropriate videos of young people trending. I have seen a number of articles on the same by Pastors and theologians.

I am just from reading another one by Pastor Washy, he is claiming God opened his eyes and showed him that a spell has been cast on Zambia.

He is calling upon believers to pray against the spell, burn altars and engage in spiritual warfare. But you see, if we don't look at this issue holistically, we will not offer relevant solutions.

To begin with the trending videos have nothing to do with spells or demons. It's purely the work of the flesh. Whatever is happening has to do with moral fiber.

It's a morality issue and not a spiritual issue. The other gentleman, Kazadi who was recently charged, I am told he is a believer in Christ and yet he is mentioned in these issues. That tells us that even believers can fall in these matters if they don't put their flesh under subjection.

If you are a theologian or a student of the Bible you will agree with me that the believers at Corinth were very carnal and they did a lot of unusual things but Paul never linked their behavior to a demon because it was about the work of the flesh.

What some folks are calling demons are actually works of the flesh. The trending videos are about lasciviousness and that is not a demon it's the work of the flesh.

Whatever problems we are seeing in our generation begins from a family level. We have delegated the responsibility of raising our children to maids and schools, we are busy pursuing ends meet.

We forget that children learn values from homes, get knowledge from school and habits from friends. Parents have neglected a very crucial responsibility.

Prayer is not a solution to this. A solution is to build strong families, we need to regulate what our children are watching on TV, check their exposure to social media, we also need to check what they're browsing on the internet.

If you want you can burn altars, break powers and do such rituals I can assure you these issues will still linger with us.

By the way, some of these folks are using that as a marketing strategy. They want numbers on their social platforms, they don't care what it takes to make money. The folks are morally bankrupt!

There's no spell cast on Zambia
There's no altar raised
There are no powers to fight. In Christ we don't fight powers, we fight a good fight of faith.
It's not a spiritual problem it's a moral problem.

In an emotional moment that unfolded just now in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the Swaggart family has been left stunned following a shocking discovery involving the late Pastor Jimmy Swaggart, who passed away recently at the age of 90.

During a private family gathering at the ministry compound, Donnie Swaggart, Jimmy’s only son, reportedly broke down in tears after being shown documents revealing a previously unknown fortune quietly tucked away by his father — not in gold or real estate, but in a series of anonymous charitable trusts, handwritten letters, and ministry donations dating back decades.

💬 “This wasn’t about wealth,” a family friend said. “It was about legacy. Quietly funding missions, supporting widows, rebuilding churches — all without anyone knowing it was him.”

The files included notes Jimmy wrote to God, records of private gifts to struggling pastors, and even envelopes of cash left behind with instructions to be delivered to specific families in need.

Witnesses say Donnie, overwhelmed, whispered through tears:

💬 “He never stopped giving… not even when the world wasn’t watching.”

The discovery has reignited a powerful wave of emotion across the global faith community — a reminder that behind the public sermons and gospel songs was a man quietly committed to serving others with grace, humility, and generosity.

This story is still unfolding.
