In a stellar show of local talent, Nedbank Running Club SWD swept the podium in the men’s 21.1km half-marathon at Saturday’s Meiringspoort race in De Rust.

Lloyd Bosman blazed to victory in the 21.1km race in 1:04:02, followed by teammates Selwyn Matthews (1:05:31) and Francois Maquassa (1:08:54), a clean sweep for the George-based club.

Video: The George Herald was at George Airport to welcome the Karate-Zen George children who returned from Botswana after competing at the national championships. The young athletes travelled to Botswana on 11 and 12 October to represent South Africa and were met by proud family members and coaches upon their arrival.
