Did you know one in 5 children don’t understand the value of saving?😟Without early money lessons, they may face financial struggles later in life. Teaching your child how to save now builds strong habits that lead to a secure future.

Here are three simple tips to help children practice the value of saving:

🪙 Set a Savings Goal: Encourage your child to save for something they really want, like a toy or game. This helps them understand the reward of delayed gratification.

🪙 Use Clear Jars: Give them clear jars labeled “Save,” “Spend,” and “Give.” Watching their savings grow makes the concept more tangible and exciting.

🪙 Match Their Savings: Offer to match a portion of what they save to motivate them. For example, if they save R500.00, you add R500.00. This teaches them the benefits of consistent saving.
