...Event promoters KILL the life in events!
I'll break it down how. A promoter is usually the one who organises the evening, from sound, venue, Dj's etc.
-(SOUND) Now, when a sound guy is booked, the equipment brought should make sense to the venues capacity, it's not rocket science, you can't have 1 bass bin and expect it to cover crowds of thousands?? Who then gets the strays when sound doesn't reach certain people? The sound guy!! but actually a promoter is the one at fault, now someone's business and reputation is on the line.
(Dj's) Dj's are the talent, but now promoters just hire anyone, even newbies who can't even mix properly, remember people paid, but I doubt they paid to listen to Dj's practice on set! Another issue, now everyone plays the same music, you hear 1 song play 5 times, what happened to sequence? First house music maybe? Private piano? Commercial piano? HipHop? Now every dj wanna shine, you just arrived at the event, 4pm, some random guy is already on Biri Marung! Hau? Siku marathon kanti? I personally think promoters should do better, hire Dj's accordingly, set time slots properly, give the crowd what they want, not what you and your friends want.
