The H&M S/S 2026 womenswear collection embraces a playful and bold nostalgia, blending eras and influences into a powerful and liberating collection that rethinks Spring dressing.

Flashes of different eras – from the 80s through to the 90s to 00s – add surprise and intrigue across key items, creating a wardrobe with a sense of history and culture. The collection celebrates the way modern wardrobes blend past and present, referencing back in unexpected and dynamic cycles.

The arrival of a new baby is often described as one of life’s happiest milestones. Yet for many women, the early days of motherhood can also feel incredibly overwhelming. Between recovering physically from childbirth, adapting to round-the-clock caregiving and coping with dramatic hormonal changes, it is not unusual to experience periods of tearfulness, anxiety and emotional sensitivity – commonly referred to as the “baby blues”.

However, while the baby blues are a relatively normal and temporary part of adjusting to motherhood, Dr Latisha Raghubir, Psychiatrist at Mediclinic Sandton, urges new parents and their support systems to recognise when symptoms may point to something more serious.

Seventy years ago, more than 20,000 South African women marched to the Union Buildings, united by courage, conviction and hope for a better future.

Their actions on 9 August 1956 became a defining moment in our history. They showed what can happen when women stand together, use their voices and reject the limits placed on their lives.

Parent and Teachers: Share your knowledge and perceptions of Primary School-aged children’s sleep health.

We are inviting parents/caregivers and teachers of primary school children between the ages of 6–12 years to take part in a study on children’s sleep health. Your knowledge and everyday observations can help us understand how adults think about sleep, how they recognise sleep-related challenges, and what support families and schools may need.

🧠 What is this study about?

We’re studying how adults understand sleep health in school-aged children (6–12 years). This includes what parents/caregivers and teachers know, notice, and believe about sleep and how they think it relates to children’s wellbeing, behaviour, and learning.

🌟 Why is this important?

Sleep plays a key role in children’s health, mood, and school performance
There is limited South African research on adult understanding of child sleep
Your input will help identify current knowledge, challenges, and support needs
Findings will guide the development of sleep health resources for families and schools

📝 What will you do?

You’ll complete a 15–20 minute anonymous online survey tailored to your role:

Parents/Caregivers: share your views and everyday experience
Teachers/Educators: share your classroom observations and professional insights

There are no right or wrong answers — we are interested in your perspectives.

🎁 Benefits

Contribute to research that may support families, schools, and communities
Reflect on your own understanding of sleep health

You may also enter a lucky draw to stand a chance of winning one of 20 × R250 Takealot vouchers.

👥 Who can take part?
Adults (18+) living and working in South Africa
Parents/caregivers of a child aged 6–12 OR teachers who currently teach children aged 6–12
Able to complete the survey in English

Love at First Wipe: the everyday South African lappie, upgraded.

In South Africa, a lappie needs no explanation. It is the cloth at the sink, on the counter, around the braai, in the bathroom and wherever everyday mess happens. But many everyday cleaning cloths are made from synthetic, plastic-based fibres, while others stay damp for too long and quickly start to smell like the very mess they are meant to clean. los lappies offers a smarter version of the household essential: a plant-fibre cloth made from 70% wood cellulose and 30% cotton by-products that feels paper-like when dry, turns soft and spongy when damp, absorbs instantly, dries quickly and does not get that damp-cloth smell. A single los lappie can last six to nine months, and although its main ingredient is the same plant-fibre used to make paper, it is durable enough to go in the dishwasher or washing machine again and again. Once worn thin, los lappies can be composted instead of sent to landfill.

ProbiFloraTM, a multistrain probiotic range, knows that gut health is often treated like something you only think about when your tummy starts complaining. A little bloating here. A strange bathroom routine there. That heavy, unsettled feeling that seems to arrive on the busiest day of the week. Suddenly, your gut has your full attention.

But here is the thing. Probiotics are not only for the “uh oh, something feels wrong” moments. They can also form part of a simple everyday routine that helps support balance before your gut starts waving a little red flag.

Most children are energetic, distractible or impulsive from time to time (especially when they’re tired, hungry or overstimulated). However, when these behaviours are persistent, show up across more than one setting (like home and school) and start interfering with learning, routines or relationships, it may be a sign of ADHD.

Have you hit that mid-winter slump where you find yourself repeating the same familiar meals? We ask a lot from our winter food. It needs to support our immunity and wellness while also giving us the nourishment and comfort we need through the coldest months.

But cooking doesn’t have to become part of winter’s drag. It can lift the season and be an important source of cheer through the senses as our kitchens fill with warmth and rich aromas.
