The Wild Pear Trees in Nieu-Bethesda are putting on their spectacular spring show, with masses of white blossoms transforming the village and its surrounds.

Graaff-Reinet locals, Nieu-Bethesda is practically on your doorstep - so pack the camera, grab a friend and head out for the day. Wander through the village, enjoy a good meal or coffee, browse the local galleries and shops, and take in one of the prettiest times of year in the Karoo.

And yes… you’ll want to stop for photos along the way! 📸🌳

A view that deserves a second look. 💚

Lokasiekop perfectly reflected in the still waters of Nqweba Dam (Van Ryneveld's Pass Dam), with Graaff-Reinet tucked beneath the mountain. After the recent rain, the Karoo is already showing more colour - and we’re certainly not complaining!

Sometimes our town really does show off.

🌿 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗔 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗞𝗘𝗧, 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗔𝗙𝗙-𝗥𝗘𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗧!

The Klein Wolwas Farmers’ Market was the place to be today - and what a fantastic morning it turned out to be!

A huge congratulations to Grant & Claire on an exceptional market. From the superb set-up and beautiful music to the magnificent stalls, fresh local produce and seriously delicious eats and drinks, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish.

We especially loved the cycling component, the relaxed family-friendly atmosphere and the fact that four-legged family members were welcome too. 🐾🚲

Markets like these are such a wonderful way to bring people together while supporting local farmers, growers, bakers, makers and small businesses. Judging by the happy crowds today, Graaff-Reinet is definitely ready for more!

Here’s to many more successful Klein Wolwas Farmers’ Markets! 💚

Die Charl du Plessis Trio bring Bach & Beatles vanaand na die John Rupert Theatre - ’n besondere musiekaand waar klassieke meesterwerke en ikoniese Beatles-treffers ontmoet.

Charl du Plessis is ’n bekroonde Suid-Afrikaanse klassieke en jazz-pianis. Hy was in 2010 die jongste pianis in Afrika wat as ’n Steinway Artist aangewys is en het reeds twee SAMA-toekennings, ’n Ghoema en ’n Fiësta gewen. Julle sal hom ook herken as Nataniël se pianis!
