Always celebrate the small wins.

So today, we are celebrating the fact that we have made 100 sales through our Etsy store!

What it means to us?

That’s 100 people who were able to lift their game, position their business better, which would have ultimately led to more sales.

Feels good to do good.

Oh, and we totally love that it brought in some extra $$$ too!

You need to show up,
Get into the water,
And give it your best shot”

This quote applies to life, surfing, and business!

It’s Saturday morning 7am,
whilst most teenagers are sleeping,
mine comes through to my room,
begging me to take him for a surf.

😜 It’s what happens most Saturday’s.

But…
Did I mention it’s winter?
And early mornings are cold?

Nevertheless…
we head down to the beach.

As he stands there looking at the wave,
Deciding which spot to go to,
I’m in awe of his desire & dedication.

And there’s no major goal that’s driving this.

Nothing that would pull him out of bed in this weather.

He just wants to get better and be the best surfer he can be!

It reminded me of the philosophy:

“you’ll only get better,
if you put in the reps”.

Improvement takes effort,
Repeat effort.

And as I’m looking at him putting in his effort, I’m thinking I should be showing the same kind of dedication to the social spaces - yes, I’ve been slacking a bit.

So if you’re like me,
thinking you need to put more effort into socials,

And you’re wondering where begin…

Then these 3 nuggets are for you today!
1️⃣ We need to show up
2️⃣ We need to get in the water
3️⃣We need to give it our best shot

And don’t worry about getting it perfect from the get-go either, your first post probably won’t be perfect.

But you need to start,
you need to keep learning,
Keep improving.

The more we do those 3 things,
The more reps we put in,
The better we get.

…and bigger impact we make.

I suspect that there is a lot of reflection happening this weekend.

With the public holidays,
We’re given a splash of time to think.

Without the hustle and bustle of delivering client work.

Thought I’d share this little life changing nugget with you

(At least it was for my business)

When you’re inside the bottle”

There have been many times,
When I’m busy working on something,
And I think it’s great,
Then i share it with someone,
And they see something I didn’t.

There is massive value in an outside opinion.

Someone who can look at it from an objective perspective.

And give you a fresh insight that you hadn’t picked up on before!

Especially if you’re too close to it.

So keep making small progress:

I'm embarrassed to say,
that I only loaded my March calendar
onto my phone,
this week 🙀🙈

But, I'm already so glad that I did.

I was checking the dates
I had scheduled for a promo...
and instead of opening my phone,
searching for the calendar app,
waiting for it to open,
making sure I was on the right month...

I just touched my phone,
and my calendar was right there!

Plus the painted background makes me happy!
