It’s been a month of memorable and magical moments and much to be grateful for.

* Homecooked meals ( P.O.R.)

* Treat Your Feet . . . R400 for a 90 min session

* Guided walks:
1. Half day, light snack, R 300 for 1 person, R400 for 2
2. Full day , picnic lunch, R 600 for 1, R700 for 2

Beautiful June in Morgan Bay.

🦅🐦‍⬛Birds a plenty as it’s the dry season so our garden is a great food source

🦋🐝 Butterflies and bees are out and about foraging like crazy for winter supplies

🌊⛅️ Beach walks, bonding with friends and family and beautiful skyscapes

Taking time out to do what fills your heart with joy is so very important.

Time waits for no one.

Make those plans of a weekend away or a longer road trip and do it.,

Pick up the phone and chat to that friend you haven’t connected with for a long time.

Spend the day in bed just reading, writing , sleeping or watching a good movie because that’s what you feel like.

Go out on a dinner date either with a partner, friends or on your own and have dessert too 😁

All in a day’s work !

Thank you for the order plus we have a case of our own for sale too.

At last all the ingredients, bar the sugar and white wine vinegar, for this popular Sweet Chilli with Lemon Grass & Ginger Sauce come from our organic garden. The great rains we had all spring, summer and much of autumn has resulted in successful harvests of both the lemon grass and ginger plus the lemon trees are all full of fruit this season.

Lost all my chilli plants bar two because of too much rain, unfortunately, so many of my hot sauces will have to wait until I have home grown chillies again. 😢

The garden really teaches me how we have no control over nature and how weather patterns have changed.

Time to start from scratch so lots of chillies going to be planted out in the spring.

Can’t believe the days are going to start becoming longer from tomorrow.
The year seems to be flying by .

Early morning coffee at Mudhutters . . . ?

Everyone welcome.

Winter time heralds visits from the crowned hornbills into our garden and onto the deck mostly to eat the echeveria, their favourites, which are growing in pots.

They also feed on small reptiles and insects so I welcome their presence so close to the house.

Biodiversity in our organic forest garden at its best helping to keep the balance.

24 years of not using any harmful chemicals or artificial fertilizers on our property has resulted in a forest garden with all creatures great and small living in perfect harmony with enough food for us all.

A very good reason to create a food forest no matter how big or small your growing area is.

Sunday gifts from the garden and the golden hour at sundowner time last night.

Part of the dream of living life the way we do, is being able to make an income from home which means turning what we grow into some sort of product to sell.
Right now it’s that time of the year when grapefruit, lemons and yellow passionfruit are abundant in our garden so it’s marmalade making time.

I try to only use organic ingredients and
used to travel to my mom in Plett at this time of the year just so that I could use her oranges and visit her, of course. Since her passing, that has not been possible so I was thrilled to receive a whole basket of juicy organically grown oranges from a friend.

Thank you, Antoinette. Perfect timing for making my 3 fruit marmalade this week.
Thank you too, Mandy, for the fresh bay leaves. What at a treat !
