Today was incredibly special! ❤️ Had the absolute privilege of joining thousands of other hands for Mandela Day, doing our bit for 67 minutes with Ladles of Love. 🥣✨

We did our part in The Grow Zone where we set up vegetable boxes and planted seeds in trays. Urban farmers then grow these into nutrient-rich vegetables for preschool food pots.

There is nothing quite like the energy of a community coming together to share some kindness and fill some bellies. Happy Mandela Day, everyone!

💡Important things to keep in mind when using a bond in your property transaction.

You’ve signed the papers and the banks have said yes! But as you prepare for this big change, it’s important to understand the final timeline to keep your family’s budget stable.

What happens next?

The Waiting Period:
Bond registration and property transfer typically take about 3 months from the day your bond is granted. During this time, attorneys are working behind the scenes to move the home into your name.

Registration Day:
This is the day the Deeds Office makes it official! Your bank will pay out the loan, and you are officially a homeowner.

The First Repayment:
Your first bond repayment is generally due one month after registration.

Budget Tip:
If your bond is registered on or before the 15th of the month, your first debit usually happens at the end of that same month. If it's after the 15th, it usually falls at the end of the following month.

Stability Secret:
Use the 3-month registration period to "practice" your bond payments by putting that money into a savings account. It builds a safety buffer for your new home and helps you adjust to your new budget before the first debit order hits.
