Through its company based in Cape Town, Cambridge University Press South Africa publishes and sells school textbooks for local curricula across Sub-Saharan Africa. We publish school textbooks and learning resources in print and digital, and in multiple languages, including all 11 official South African languages. We also pursue an extensive programme of mother tongue publishing for countries acros
s the continent, producing titles in over 34 local African languages under joint imprint with local agents in each country.A wide range of Cambridge International Education titles and academic textbooks are also distributed. Our energetic local publishing programme has published several thousand titles by African authors since the establishment of the Branch in 1995. Some of our most recognised brands include Study & Master, Mental Maths, The Little Library, and Rainbow Reading. In collaboration with local educators and subject specialists, we offer Cambridge Teacher Training and the SACE-endorsed Cambridge Reading Workshops for professional development. We value and nurture our staff and suppliers, with long-standing relationships and service attesting to that. We also work with Cambridge CEM (Centre for Evaluation & Monitoring) assessments, turning data into action for true support of teachers and students, to make the best decisions to support learning based on the most robust evidence available. We are proud to be associated with the Thuto Trust - a shareholder of Cambridge University press - and are pleased that a portion of the selling price of every product sold by us is reinvested by the Trust to train, mentor and develop high-quality teachers.
