***Economic Impact of Covid-19***

The world has already changed. The impact has already happened, now is the time to salvage what can be salvaged.

This is a bitter truth we need to speak to the leaderships, the governments, come together to start rebuilding what we can in the world. We are on the brink of economic disaster which is unprecedented in modern times. Do not equate this as a fight of Health vs Economics, economics itself is health for employees, suppliers of millions of businesses around the world. We are between rock & a hard place - there is no getting away from one or the other. We closed off - healthy, flourishing - 6 businesses in the last 4 months to retrench about 30+ employees, could not generate business or pay 12 of our suppliers, could not find enough working capital to start recovery on our core business. This image of our beloved Restaurant - Tequila Town six months apart is coming near you every week. This is not just a matter of economics, it is a matter of equal amounts of livelihoods, education, housing etc. for millions who have been ignored on discussions of these impacts around the world.

Would the leadership have the backbone to address this? We have moved on, but we find it our moral obligation to fight for those who can be saved. Save them, talk, work out solutions. Many know nothing else, this is all they have. They deserve your care. From public, citizens & governments.

We are a strong team & walking on new paths & facing new challenges. We'll be back, bigger, stronger, fiercer.

Play Sense to host free webinar about the revolution happening in early childhood education

Our world and the way we do business and learn continues to change in the wake of the Covid-19
pandemic. As many people across the world begin to return to work, we have a pressing issue to deal with – often heard in two different questions:

The first question is who will care for children while parents are forced to once again, earn a living?
And the second is, how do we educate, train, prepare and equip our children for the new workplace
that demands both digital and soft skills?
Play Sense co-founders Meg Faure and Lara Schoenfeld have decided to address these pressing
issues in a free webinar on Thursday 2 July 2020 at 7pm SAST (6pm GMT) as these issues are
relevant to Early Childhood Development (ECD). Interested parties are invited to register their
attendance here: https://teacherwebinar.playsense.org/
Faure says, “Early childhood education is the basis for lifelong success, and we know that the
foundations for lifelong learning should not be skills-focused but rather about developing core
capacities. The question is how do we deliver quality education that meets these needs, in the
context of virtual learning and in safe, contained space?”
“As the world becomes more digital and jobs become automated, soft skills such as creativity,
empathy and problem solving will become the most coveted, sought after skills.”
Faure says Play Sense’s webinar will give educators and parents insight into the following:
 The importance of developing these skills in early childhood education
 Where current ECD is lacking in meeting future needs
 The importance of imaginary play
 What will it mean for teachers and the teaching profession
In order to keep up with the rapid changes happening across all sectors, Schoenfeld says, “It is
paramount that we begin to reimagine what early childhood development looks like in order to
give children the best start in life.”

“This means we need to reimagine everything from the size of the classroom learning environment,
the benefits of home schooling, children’s emotional development and highlight the importance of
imaginary play.”
One of Play Sense’s online teachers, Naadira Kathrada, will join Meg and Lara to share her insights
into the new norm as an online teacher.

This is an important conversation for parents and educators to be part of as it will help us shape
the direction early childhood development should take to address these new challenges. Join the Play Sense webinar here: https://teacherwebinar.playsense.org/

FoodDeliveryZa.com - slashing rate to 20%

Our teams got an overwhelming response by restaurants to join our services which will launch next week, we are still on testing phase. We have collectively decided to reduce our Flat Fees (incl VAT) to 20% for all Restaurants for May, June & July. We are happy to take the hit, there is no way we could break even or give decent service below that rate & decided to just work with the industry till we are all on a better path.

Hopefully we are able to help some people pay their bills & pay of our own. We strive to give you a good service in coming days with our team of 12+ across South Africa. If you wish to add your restaurant kindly fill in the form below: http://tiny.cc/Vendormenuform

Hope we all support each other & get around this together. Peace.
