GAWS Kennels Opening a Cause for Celebration

Friday afternoon marked the long-awaited opening of the new kennels, celebrated with volunteers, staff, sponsors and supporters.

The event was made especially memorable by the presence of Alan Winde and his wife Tracy, who planted a commemorative wild olive tree.

Brian Po***ck also announced a new partnership between GAWS and EARS, strengthening animal welfare efforts in the valley.

Renovations to the cattery are planned for early next year, with a public Open Day to follow. 🐈

🎄Greyton is especially busy at this time of year, with schools out and many more visitors in the village — and that makes extra security and visibility more important than ever.🎄

The Greyton Post would like to encourage our community to support Greyton Watch’s December Patroller Programme.

Patrols will be implemented over the next few days (exact times aren’t shared for discretion), and they’re only possible thanks to the generous donations already received from local residents.

However, to keep patrols going right through the Christmas/New Year period, more funding is urgently needed.

Raised so far: R24 800
🎯 Target: R100 000 🎯

The total raised directly determines how many patrollers can be deployed and how consistently Greyton can be covered over the festive season.

If you’re able to contribute — big or small — please deposit to:
