Kaygee Productions invites professional and emerging performers to audition for THE VACANT ORACLE, an epic African theatre production developed for the SOUTH AFRICAN STATE THEATRE (SAST) MCO PROGRAMME.

Successful auditionees must be available to begin rehearsals immediately.

🎬 ABOUT THE PRODUCTION
THE VACANT ORACLE is a large-scale epic theatre work told in English and Setswana, fusing African mythology, ritual, ancestral spirituality, poetry, music, dance, and physical theatre.
The play explores power, corruption, forbidden love, destiny, and divine justice across two ancient kingdoms. Performers must be bold, emotionally committed, and physically expressive.

Phetogo – A humble man chosen by the gods; embodiment of change
Morula – A river goddess; seductive, spiritual, and powerful
Tsholofelo – A young man raised as a commoner, secretly a rightful king
Naledi – Princess of Letlamoreng; strong-willed and fearless
Kgosi Tau – King of Letlamoreng
Kgosi Sechaba – King of Mothusong
Kgosiemang – Prince of Mothusong; aggressive and entitled
Botlhe – Son of the late Oracle; driven by ambition
Morulang – Blind Oracle of Mothusong; spiritually authoritative
