The City of Tshwane Emergency Services urges all residents to remain vigilant as severe thunderstorms are expected across Gauteng, including Tshwane, on Thursday, 7 August 2025. A Yellow Level 3 warning has been issued by the SA Weather Service.

Risk of localised flooding, hail, damaging winds, and lightning

Possible impacts include:
• Flooded roads and homes

• Car accidents due to slippery roads

The City of Tshwane regrets to inform residents that its Call Centre (012 358 9999) and official email services are currently offline due to a SITA connectivity issue.

While technicians work to resolve the problem, customers can still reach the City through these alternative platforms:

1. Website: Visit www.tshwane.gov.za, click on "I want to report", and log queries for water, sewer, potholes, streetlights, traffic lights, grass cutting, and more.
2. WhatsApp: Use 087 153 1001 to check your account, submit meter readings, and access other services.
3. Power Outages: SMS the word POWER followed by your account number to 082 612 0333 or 44676.
